Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Digital Character Designer course aims to equip students with the skills and knowledge required to create compelling, original digital characters using industry-standard software and techniques. The course covers fundamentals of character design including anatomy, proportion, expression, and storytelling through visuals. Students learn to develop characters from concept to final render, focusing on style, personality, and usability for various digital media such as games, animation, and comics.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Fundamentals of Character Design: Introduction to Character Design, Principles of Visual Storytelling, Anatomy for Character Designers, Understanding Proportions and Silhouettes, Color Theory and Psychology, Character Design Styles and Genres.

Module 2: Digital Tools and Software: Overview of Industry-standard Software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate), Basics of Digital Drawing Tablets, Vector vs Raster Graphics, Layers and Masks Techniques, Brush Settings and Customization, Workflow Optimization in Digital Design.

Module 3: Concept Development and Research: Character Backstory Creation, Mood Boards and Reference Gathering, Thumbnails and Rough Sketching, Exploring Personality Through Design, Cultural and Historical Influences, Iterative Design Process and Feedback.

Module 4: Advanced Character Anatomy and Expression: Detailed Musculature and Skeletal Structure, Facial Anatomy and Expressions, Dynamic Poses and Gesture Drawing, Clothing and Accessories Design, Rendering Textures (Skin, Fabric, Hair), Creating Emotion and Movement in Characters.

Module 5: Character Modeling and Texturing for 3D: Introduction to 3D Character Modeling Basics, Sculpting Techniques, UV Mapping Fundamentals, Texturing and Painting for 3D Models, Creating Normal and Specular Maps, Preparing Character for Rigging and Animation.

Module 6: Portfolio Development and Industry Practices: Building a Professional Character Design Portfolio, Presentation Techniques and Mockups, Understanding Client Briefs and Revisions, Branding and Marketing Yourself as a Designer, Industry Trends and Career Opportunities, Ethical Considerations and Copyright Issues.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
