Objective: The Certified Digital Rights Manager course is designed to prepare learners to manage, protect, and monetize digital content across media platforms using legal, technological, and strategic frameworks. The course covers the fundamentals of copyright law, intellectual property rights (IPR), licensing models, content distribution, piracy prevention, and digital rights management (DRM) systems. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Digital Rights Management (DRM): Understanding the concept and importance of digital rights management, Key stakeholders in the digital content ecosystem (creators, distributors, platforms), Types of digital assets protected by DRM (music, video, e-books, software), Overview of copyright, intellectual property, and licensing laws, History and evolution of DRM technologies, Roles and responsibilities of a Digital Rights Manager.

Module 2: Copyright Law and Licensing Frameworks: Basics of copyright, fair use, public domain, and moral rights, National and international IP regulations (WIPO, Berne Convention, DMCA), Licensing types: exclusive, non-exclusive, sync, mechanical, public performance, Drafting and interpreting licensing agreements and contracts, Managing content rights for various platforms (OTT, social media, broadcast), Understanding royalty collection and distribution.

Module 3: DRM Technologies and Content Protection Tools: Types of DRM systems (proprietary, open-source, enterprise-level), Encryption methods, watermarking, fingerprinting, and token-based access, DRM solutions for video (Google Widevine, Apple FairPlay, Microsoft PlayReady), E-book, document, and software protection tools, Content protection in streaming, download, and cloud-based services, Integration of DRM tools with CMS and OTT platforms.

Module 4: Rights Acquisition, Clearance, and Metadata Management: Identifying rights holders and securing clearances for use, Managing chain of title, rights windows, and territory/language restrictions, Creating and maintaining accurate metadata and rights information, Use of rights management databases and tracking systems, Coordinating with legal, licensing, and content teams, Ensuring timely renewals and compliance with contractual terms.

Module 5: Monitoring, Compliance, and Anti-Piracy Measures: Monitoring content usage across digital platforms, Identifying and reporting unauthorized use and copyright violations, Collaborating with anti-piracy vendors and legal teams, DMCA takedown processes and notice handling, Educating internal teams on DRM and compliance practices, Using analytics and tracking tools for enforcement and auditing.

Module 6: Digital Distribution Strategies and Career Readiness: Distributing licensed content across digital channels (VOD, OTT, syndication), Business models: SVOD, TVOD, AVOD, and rights implications, Role of DRM in monetization and content strategy, Building a professional portfolio of rights-managed projects, Career paths in content licensing, media law, and rights administration, Preparing for interviews and industry certifications in DRM and IP management.
