Global Occupational Skill Standard – GOSS ID: GOSS/JPM/CDS/V1

Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Digital Storyteller course is designed to equip learners with the creative, strategic, and technical skills needed to craft impactful stories across digital platforms such as social media, blogs, podcasts, videos, websites, and interactive media. The course covers the principles of narrative structure, audience psychology, content planning, visual and audio storytelling, platform-specific formats, and multimedia integration.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 2: Story Development and Scriptwriting: Ideation techniques and narrative structures for digital media, Writing scripts for different formats: video, podcast, web, short-form content, Creating storyboards, outlines, and beat sheets for content planning, Developing brand-aligned narratives for campaigns and content strategies, Crafting relatable characters, dialogue, and emotional arcs, Adapting stories for multicultural and multi-platform audiences.

Module 3: Visual and Audio Elements in Storytelling: Using images, graphics, and video to visually enhance narratives, Fundamentals of composition, color, and visual hierarchy for storytelling, Audio storytelling: voice, music, ambient sound, and timing, Tools for visual/audio production: Canva, Adobe Spark, CapCut, Audacity, Choosing the right media mix for different storytelling goals and platforms, Creating multimedia story packages for social media, websites, and campaigns.

Module 4: Interactive and Immersive Storytelling Techniques: Introduction to interactive storytelling formats (web experiences, games, AR/VR), Designing user journeys and decision points in branching narratives, Tools for creating interactive content (Twine, Eko, Thinglink, Genially), Basics of AR/VR storytelling and immersive media principles, Using polls, chatbots, and clickable media for audience engagement, Story gamification and audience participation techniques.

Module 5: Publishing, Promotion, and Audience Engagement: Selecting the right platform based on story format and audience (Instagram, YouTube, Medium, podcast platforms), Writing headlines, descriptions, and copy to hook attention, Planning and scheduling story-based campaigns and series, Using storytelling for brand building, advocacy, and thought leadership, Measuring performance: reach, engagement, retention, conversions, Using analytics to iterate and improve future storytelling.

Module 6: Project Execution and Professional Development: Planning and executing a complete digital storytelling project, Creating a storytelling portfolio with multimedia samples and case studies, Building a personal narrative as a content creator or storyteller, Freelance, brand, and agency roles in storytelling careers, Collaborative workflows with designers, editors, marketers, and developers, Keeping up with trends in AI-driven storytelling, short-form content, and transmedia narratives.
