Eligibility: 10th (High school) or Equivalent or minimum 1 year of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Elevator & Escalator Technician course is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair elevators, escalators, and related lift systems. The program covers mechanical and electrical components, safety regulations, operational standards, preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and emergency procedures.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Introduction to Elevators and Escalators: Overview of Elevator and Escalator Systems, Role of an Elevator & Escalator Technician, Key Terminology and Concepts, History and Evolution of Vertical Transportation, Ethical and Professional Responsibilities, Scope of Elevator & Escalator Technology

Module 2: Components and Systems: Mechanical Components (Motors, Gears, Pulleys), Electrical and Control Systems, Safety Devices and Sensors, Hydraulic and Traction Systems, Doors, Cabins, and Platforms, Modern Technologies and Innovations

Module 3: Installation Procedures: Site Preparation and Planning, Equipment Handling and Assembly, Mechanical Installation Techniques, Electrical Wiring and Control Setup, Testing and Alignment Procedures, Compliance with Manufacturer Specifications

Module 4: Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Routine Inspection and Preventive Maintenance, Lubrication and Cleaning Procedures, Fault Diagnosis and Troubleshooting Techniques, Component Replacement and Repair, Record-Keeping and Reporting, Upgrading and Modernization

Module 5: Safety, Codes, and Regulations: Occupational Safety Standards, Elevator and Escalator Safety Guidelines, Local and International Codes and Standards, Risk Assessment and Mitigation, Emergency Procedures and Protocols, Compliance and Certification Requirements

• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
