Objective: The Certified Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Lead Auditor course is designed to equip participants with advanced knowledge and auditing skills to evaluate the effectiveness, quality, and regulatory compliance of EMS organizations and systems. The course covers EMS standards and protocols, audit principles and planning, risk-based thinking, quality assurance practices, documentation review, and field performance assessments.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Emergency Medical Services and Auditing Principles: Overview of EMS systems and operations, Role and responsibilities of an EMS Lead Auditor, Importance of auditing in EMS quality and compliance, ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 overview for EMS integration, Principles of auditing (impartiality, evidence-based approach, confidentiality), Competence and code of conduct for auditors.

Module 2: EMS Standards, Regulations, and Legal Framework: National and international EMS standards and protocols, Accreditation requirements (NABH, JCI, ISO), Legal and regulatory obligations in EMS operations, Health and safety laws relevant to EMS personnel, Data privacy and patient confidentiality in EMS audits, Licensing and compliance for ambulances and emergency response centers.

Module 3: Audit Planning and Preparation in EMS Context: Types of audits (first-party, second-party, third-party), Developing audit scope, objectives, and criteria, Understanding EMS processes, risk areas, and organizational structure, Preparing audit checklists and audit plans, Selection of audit team and scheduling, Communication with auditee and pre-audit briefings.

Module 4: Conducting the EMS Audit: Opening meetings and presentation of audit process, On-site observation, interviews, and document review, Sampling techniques and data verification, Evaluating performance indicators and service quality, Identifying nonconformities and potential risks, Ensuring compliance with EMS standards and procedures.

Module 5: Reporting, Nonconformance, and Corrective Actions: Drafting accurate and objective audit findings, Classifying and documenting nonconformities, Conducting closing meetings and presenting audit summaries, Recommendations for corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), Timeframes for action implementation and follow-up, Preparing the final audit report and audit trail.

Module 6: Follow-up, Surveillance, and Continuous Improvement: Post-audit activities and verification of CAPA effectiveness, Conducting surveillance and re-certification audits, Risk-based thinking and continual improvement strategies, Integrating audit outcomes into EMS quality systems, Tools for performance monitoring and compliance tracking, Case studies and best practices in EMS auditing.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
