Objective: The Certified Emergency Response Team Leader course is designed to develop the leadership capabilities and technical competencies required to manage emergency situations effectively. This program provides in-depth training in emergency planning, risk analysis, team coordination, first response tactics, communication under pressure, and command structure implementation (such as the Incident Command System – ICS). Participants will learn how to lead multidisciplinary teams during natural disasters, industrial accidents, fire outbreaks, medical emergencies, and security threats.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Emergency Response and Leadership: Roles and responsibilities of an emergency response team leader, Types of emergencies (natural, industrial, chemical, biological, etc.), Emergency management phases (mitigation, preparedness, response, recovery), Legal and regulatory requirements for emergency response, Incident Command System (ICS) overview, Key leadership traits in high-stress situations.

Module 2: Risk Assessment and Emergency Planning: Hazard identification and vulnerability assessment (HVA), Emergency response planning and strategy development, Critical infrastructure and resource analysis, Coordination with internal departments and external agencies, Scenario-based risk analysis and simulations, Continuity of operations and business continuity planning (COOP/BCP).

Module 3: Communication and Command Control: Establishing emergency communication protocols, Use of communication tools (radio, PA systems, digital alerts), Crisis communication and public information handling, Chain of command and reporting structure during emergencies, Real-time decision-making under pressure, Inter-agency communication and coordination.

Module 4: Fire, Rescue, and Medical Response Management: Basic firefighting principles and team coordination, Search and rescue operations and safety, Triage procedures and casualty management, First aid and CPR training essentials, Coordination with medical and firefighting services, Equipment inspection, use, and readiness.

Module 5: Training, Drills, and Performance Evaluation: Developing and conducting emergency drills and simulations, Tabletop and full-scale exercise planning, Team competency and response readiness evaluation, Feedback mechanisms and continuous improvement, Documentation and post-drill reporting, Training matrix and refresher course scheduling.

Module 6: Post-Incident Management and Review: Post-incident reporting and investigation procedures, Debriefing and psychological support for team members, Root cause analysis and corrective action planning, Restoration and recovery operations leadership, Recordkeeping and compliance documentation, Lessons learned and updating emergency plans.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
