Objective: The Certified Ergonomics in Design Specialist course is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills to integrate ergonomic principles into product, workplace, and environmental design. The course covers human anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and cognitive factors as they relate to design. Participants learn how to assess user needs, reduce physical strain, prevent injury, and improve comfort, efficiency, and safety through ergonomic solutions. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Ergonomics in Design: Definition and Scope of Ergonomics, History and Evolution of Ergonomic Design, Importance of Ergonomics in Various Industries, Basic Human Anatomy and Physiology, Types of Ergonomics (Physical, Cognitive, Organizational), Key Ergonomic Principles.

Module 2: Human Factors and Anthropometry: Anthropometric Data and Its Application, Human Variability and Design Considerations, Workspace and Equipment Sizing, Posture and Movement Analysis, Reach and Clearance Requirements, Tools and Methods for Data Collection.

Module 3: Ergonomic Assessment and Evaluation: Techniques for Workplace Analysis, Risk Factors Identification, Use of Checklists and Assessment Tools, Ergonomic Risk Assessment Methods (RULA, REBA, etc.), Data Interpretation and Reporting, Case Studies and Practical Applications.

Module 4: Ergonomic Design Principles and Applications: Designing for Comfort and Safety, User-Centered Design Approach, Ergonomics in Product Design, Workspace and Environmental Ergonomics, Lighting, Noise, and Environmental Factors, Inclusive and Accessible Design.

Module 5: Technology and Tools in Ergonomics: Ergonomic Software and Simulation Tools, Wearable Technology for Ergonomic Monitoring, Virtual Reality and Human Simulation, Data Logging and Analysis Devices, Ergonomic Design Standards and Guidelines, Emerging Technologies in Ergonomics.

Module 6: Implementation and Professional Practice: Ergonomic Program Development and Management, Training and Awareness Strategies, Legal and Regulatory Compliance, Cost-Benefit Analysis of Ergonomic Interventions, Reporting and Documentation, Career Development and Certification Preparation.
