Eligibility: 10th (High School) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Event Decorator Course aims to equip learners with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in designing and executing event decorations across various occasions such as weddings, corporate events, parties, and cultural functions. The course covers principles of aesthetics, color theory, theme conceptualization, material selection, floral arrangements, lighting, and venue styling.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Event Decoration: History of event decoration, Types of events and themes, Role and responsibilities of an event decorator, Understanding client requirements, Basics of design principles, Introduction to color theory.

Module 2: Materials and Tools for Decoration: Types of decoration materials (fabric, flowers, props), Tools and equipment used, Handling and maintenance of tools, Sustainable and eco-friendly materials, Sourcing and budgeting materials, Safety measures during setup.

Module 3: Design Concepts and Planning: Space planning and layout design, Mood boards and concept development, Lighting design basics, Floral arrangement techniques, Theme development and customization, Budget estimation and management.

Module 4: Event Decoration Techniques: Table setting and centerpieces, Draping and fabric decoration, Balloon art and installation, Use of props and signage, Stage and backdrop design, Outdoor vs. indoor decoration considerations.

Module 5: Practical Execution and Management: On-site setup and coordination, Time management and scheduling, Working with vendors and suppliers, Problem-solving during events, Team management and communication, Post-event teardown and evaluation.

Module 6: Professional Development and Trends: Building a portfolio and showcasing work, Marketing and client acquisition, Latest trends in event decoration, Use of technology in decoration (AR/VR), Legal and ethical considerations, Career opportunities and growth paths.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
