The course covers fabric construction methods, yarn and fiber properties, surface design techniques, color theory, and textile printing. Participants will learn to develop innovative fabric designs through both traditional handcraft and digital technologies, while considering functionality, aesthetics, and market trends.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 2: Fiber and Yarn Selection for Fabric Design: Understanding Different Types of Fibers (Natural, Synthetic, Blended), Fiber Properties and Their Impact on Fabric Design, Yarn Structures (Spun vs. Filament, Twist, Ply), Yarn Preparation for Weaving, Knitting, and Dyeing, Choosing the Right Fiber Blend for Desired Fabric Properties, Sustainable and Eco-friendly Fibers in Fabric Design.

Module 3: Fabric Construction Techniques: Weaving Techniques (Plain, Twill, Satin, Jacquard, Dobby), Knitting Techniques (Warp and Weft Knits), Nonwoven Fabric Construction, Advanced Fabric Structures (3D Weaving, Double-Faced Fabrics), Techniques for Fabric Manipulation (Pleating, Tucking, Smocking), Role of a Fabric Designer in Developing Fabric Structures.
