Duration: One Month.

Eligibility: 10th Grade (High School) or Equivalent is required.

Objective: The objective of the Certified Fabrication Technician course is to provide participants with the fundamental knowledge and hands-on skills needed to fabricate and assemble metal components for structural and industrial purposes. The course covers blueprint reading, measurement techniques, material handling, cutting, welding, bending, and joining processes.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Fabrication Technology: Overview of fabrication processes and industries, Roles and responsibilities of a fabrication technician, Types and properties of materials used in fabrication, Reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, Units of measurement and tolerances, Safety standards and regulations in fabrication.

Module 2: Tools and Equipment: Common hand tools and their uses, Power tools and portable equipment, Measuring and marking tools, Cutting machines (plasma, laser, oxy-acetylene), Forming and shaping equipment (press brakes, rollers), Tool maintenance and safety.

Module 3: Material Preparation and Cutting Techniques: Material identification and verification, Layout and marking procedures, Manual and machine cutting methods, Edge preparation and deburring, Cutting of sheet metal, plates, and structural components, Safe handling and storage of materials.

Module 4: Welding and Joining Fundamentals:Basics of welding processes (MIG, TIG, SMAW), Joint types and weld symbols, Tack welding and assembly preparation, Mechanical fastening (rivets, bolts), Soldering and brazing techniques, Visual inspection of welds and joints.

Module 5: Assembly and Fabrication Procedures: Fitting and clamping techniques, Use of jigs and fixtures, Sequence of operations and process planning, Surface finishing and polishing methods, Quality checks during assembly, Prevention of warping and distortion.

Module 6: Quality Control and Workplace Safety: Inspection tools and techniques, Measuring tolerances and dimensions, Identifying and correcting defects, Personal protective equipment (PPE) and hazard awareness, Emergency response and safe work practices, Environmental considerations and waste disposal.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
