Objective: The Certified Fashion Collection Developer (CFCD) Certification is designed to equip fashion professionals with the knowledge and skills required to conceptualize, design, and develop cohesive fashion collections. It focuses on understanding trends, fabrics, colors, and market demands while integrating creativity with commercial viability. The course trains participants to transform design ideas into structured collections, considering garment construction, sourcing, costing, and production processes.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Fashion Industry Overview: History and evolution of fashion, Fashion industry structure, Global and regional fashion markets, Key fashion designers and brands, Trends and forecasting, Fashion consumer behavior

Module 2: Fashion Design Principles: Elements of design (color, texture, silhouette), Principles of design (balance, proportion, rhythm), Fashion illustration techniques, Fabric selection and utilization, Apparel sketching and CAD tools, Styling and accessorizing

Module 3: Collection Development Process: Concept creation and theme development, Mood boards and inspiration sourcing, Color palette and fabric planning, Trend research and analysis, Designing capsule vs full collections, Collection line planning and sequencing

Module 4: Garment Construction and Technical Skills: Pattern making and draping techniques, Sewing and garment construction, Fit analysis and alterations, Textile properties and behavior, Technical specifications (Tech Packs), Quality control in garment production

Module 5: Fashion Marketing and Merchandising: Branding and brand identity, Product positioning and pricing, Fashion marketing strategies, Visual merchandising and presentation, Fashion retail and e-commerce, Market analysis and consumer trends

Module 6: Project Management and Professional Development: Project planning for collections, Timeline and resource management, Collaboration with manufacturers and suppliers, Sustainability and ethical considerations, Portfolio development and presentation, Career planning and networking in fashion industry

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
