Eligibility: 10th (High School) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Fashion Photographer course aims to develop skilled photographers with a specialized focus on fashion imagery. The course provides comprehensive training in technical photography skills, lighting, composition, styling, and post-production techniques tailored specifically for fashion shoots. Students will learn how to effectively collaborate with models, designers, makeup artists, and stylists to create compelling and visually impactful fashion narratives.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Fashion Photography: History and evolution of fashion photography, Role of the fashion photographer, Key styles and genres, Understanding fashion industry dynamics, Ethical considerations in fashion photography, Overview of influential fashion photographers.

Module 2: Camera Equipment and Technical Skills: Types of cameras and lenses for fashion photography, Understanding exposure (aperture, shutter speed, ISO), Lighting basics (natural and artificial), Using reflectors and diffusers, Introduction to studio equipment, Camera settings for different fashion shoots.

Module 3: Composition and Styling: Principles of composition and framing, Working with color and texture, Posing techniques for models, Styling coordination with designers and stylists, Using backgrounds and props effectively, Creating mood and narrative through visuals.

Module 4: Lighting Techniques: Studio lighting setups (key light, fill light, backlight), Using continuous and flash lighting, Creative lighting effects, Outdoor and natural light management, Light modifiers and accessories, Troubleshooting common lighting challenges.

Module 5: Post-Production and Editing: Basics of photo editing software (Photoshop, Lightroom), Color correction and retouching, Enhancing textures and details, Creating consistent fashion look and style, Preparing images for print and digital media, Ethical editing practices.

Module 6: Professional Practice and Portfolio Development: Building a professional portfolio, Working with models, designers, and agencies, Conducting fashion shoots and managing teams, Branding and marketing for photographers, Legal considerations and copyright, Trends and career opportunities in fashion photography.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
