Objective: The Certified Film & Media Video Editor course aims to equip students with comprehensive skills in video editing, post-production techniques, and storytelling through visual media. It focuses on mastering industry-standard software tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve. Students will learn how to effectively organize raw footage, apply creative cuts, transitions, color grading, audio mixing, and effects to produce polished videos suitable for film, television, and digital platforms. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Film & Media Editing: History of Film Editing, Role of a Video Editor, Overview of Editing Software, Understanding Film Grammar, Types of Edits and Cuts, Introduction to Storytelling through Editing.

Module 2: Technical Skills and Software Mastery: Navigating Editing Interfaces, Importing and Organizing Footage, Timeline Editing Basics, Working with Audio Tracks, Color Correction Fundamentals, Exporting and Rendering Videos.

Module 3: Advanced Editing Techniques: Multi-Camera Editing, Visual Effects Integration, Motion Graphics Basics, Keyframing and Animation, Advanced Color Grading, Sound Design and Mixing.

Module 4: Narrative and Creative Editing: Story Structure and Pacing, Emotional Impact through Cuts, Editing for Different Genres, Continuity and Rhythm, Use of Transitions and Effects, Collaborative Workflow with Directors.

Module 5: Post-Production Workflow and Industry Practices: Project Management, File Formats and Codecs, Backup and Archiving, Client Feedback and Revisions, Legal and Ethical Considerations, Building a Professional Portfolio.

Module 6: Practical Applications and Final Project: Editing Short Films, Documentary Editing Techniques, Corporate and Promotional Video Editing, Music Video Editing, Trailer and Teaser Editing, Final Project: Complete Video Edit from Raw Footage.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
