Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Film & TV Production Management: Understanding the role and responsibilities of a production manager, Overview of the film and television production pipeline, Differences between fiction, non-fiction, live, and studio productions, Key crew roles and production hierarchy, Understanding phases: development, pre-production, production, post-production, Legal and regulatory frameworks in film and TV production.

Module 2: Budgeting and Financial Planning: Creating and managing production budgets, Cost estimation for crew, equipment, sets, travel, and post-production, Cash flow management and expense tracking, Understanding funding sources and cost control measures, Working with producers and financiers on financial planning, Handling taxes, insurance, and contingencies.

Module 3: Scheduling and Resource Management: Creating production schedules using tools like Movie Magic or Excel, Call sheets, shoot calendars, and daily production reports, Coordinating locations, talent, and crew availability, Managing equipment rental, transport, and logistics, Planning for weather delays and unforeseen issues, Ensuring timely delivery of production phases.

Module 4: Legal, Permits, and Compliance: Understanding contracts for cast, crew, and vendors, Securing permits for locations, public areas, and special equipment, Managing insurance, risk assessment, and health & safety protocols, Copyright and intellectual property basics, Labor laws and union regulations for cast/crew, Maintaining compliance with censorship and broadcasting guidelines.

Module 5: Team Coordination and Communication: Managing interdepartmental coordination on set and off, Conducting production meetings and briefings, Delegating responsibilities and resolving conflicts, Creating documentation and production logs, Using project management software for team collaboration, Communication with producers, directors, and department heads.

Module 6: Post-Production Supervision and Project Closure: Coordinating editing, VFX, sound, and final mixing schedules, Tracking post-production deliverables and timelines, Handling versioning, approvals, and QC processes, Deliverables packaging for broadcasters, OTT, or festivals, Archiving media and project closure documentation, Compiling a professional portfolio with production reports and case studies.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
