Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Fire Extinguisher Service Technician course is designed to train professionals in the proper maintenance, inspection, and servicing of fire extinguishers to ensure their functionality and compliance with fire safety regulations. The course covers the types of fire extinguishers, operating mechanisms, refilling procedures, hydrostatic testing, inspection protocols, and documentation requirements.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Fundamentals of Fire Extinguishers: Introduction to Fire Extinguishers, Types of Fires and Fire Classes, Classification of Fire Extinguishers (Water, Foam, CO₂, Dry Chemical), Components and Mechanisms of Fire Extinguishers, Principles of Fire Suppression, Legal and Regulatory Standards (NFPA, OSHA, Local),

Module 2: Inspection & Maintenance Procedures: Routine Inspection Techniques, Checking Pressure and Operational Status, Identifying Wear and Damage, Maintenance Schedules and Logs, Replacement of Parts and Seals, Record-Keeping and Compliance Documentation,

Module 3: Refilling & Recharging Fire Extinguishers: Refilling Procedures for Different Types of Extinguishers, Handling and Storage of Fire Suppressant Agents, Calibration and Pressure Testing, Safety Precautions during Refilling, Disposal of Expired or Used Agents, Quality Control and Verification,

Module 4: Troubleshooting & Repair: Identifying Common Malfunctions, Repairing Mechanical and Valve Components, Replacement of Nozzles and Hoses, Testing for Proper Functioning, Safety Procedures during Repairs, Documentation of Repairs and Service History,

Module 5: Fire Extinguisher Installation & Placement: Guidelines for Proper Placement in Various Environments, Mounting and Securing Extinguishers, Accessibility and Signage Requirements, Compliance with Regulatory Standards, Risk-Based Placement Strategies, Coordination with Safety Teams,

Module 6: Advanced Skills & Professional Development: Use of Digital Tools for Maintenance Tracking, Advanced Troubleshooting Techniques, Fire Safety Awareness and Training for Clients, Emerging Technologies in Fire Suppression, Quality Assurance and Auditing Procedures, Continuous Learning and Certification Updates.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
