Global Occupational Skill Standard – GOSS ID: GOSS/HF/CFSC/V1

Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Functional Strength Coach course is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills to develop and implement functional strength training programs that enhance performance, mobility, and overall fitness. The course covers human anatomy and physiology, movement mechanics, strength and conditioning principles, functional training techniques, exercise programming, injury prevention, and client assessment.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 2: Anatomy, Physiology, and Biomechanics: Musculoskeletal Anatomy for Functional Movement, Core and Stabilizing Muscle Groups, Joint Mechanics and Range of Motion, Movement Patterns and Kinetic Chains, Neuromuscular Coordination, Application of Physiology in Strength Training

Module 3: Functional Assessment and Screening: Conducting Functional Movement Assessments, Posture and Alignment Analysis, Mobility and Flexibility Evaluation, Strength and Power Testing, Identifying Imbalances and Risk Factors, Interpreting Assessment Results for Program Design

Module 4: Functional Strength Training Techniques: Compound and Multi-Joint Movements, Bodyweight and Resistance Training Techniques, Stability and Balance Exercises, Plyometrics and Power Development, Progressive Overload Principles, Correct Form and Injury Prevention

Module 5: Program Design and Special Populations: Designing Individualized Functional Strength Programs, Goal Setting and Progression Planning, Functional Training for Athletes, Seniors, and Rehabilitation Clients, Incorporating Mobility and Core Stability, Adaptive Exercise Techniques, Monitoring Client Performance

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.

  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
