Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: This course provides comprehensive training in the technical aspects of garment manufacturing, covering everything from raw material selection to the final product. Participants will learn how to operate and maintain key machinery, such as sewing machines, cutting tools, and finishing equipment, while understanding the technical specifications for various garment types. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Garment Manufacturing: Overview of the Garment Manufacturing Process, Key Roles and Responsibilities of a Garment Manufacturing Technician, Types of Garment Manufacturing (Mass Production, Made-to-Order, etc.), Understanding the Apparel Supply Chain, Overview of Garment Manufacturing Machines and Equipment, The Importance of Quality Control in Garment Manufacturing.

Module 2: Fabric and Material Handling: Understanding Fabric Types and Properties (Woven, Knitted, Nonwoven), Fabric Sourcing and Procurement, Handling and Storing Fabrics to Prevent Damage, Fabric Testing and Quality Assurance, Managing Fabric Cutting and Layout for Efficiency, Understanding Fabric Consumption and Costing.

Module 3: Garment Construction Techniques: Introduction to Garment Construction and Assembly, Types of Stitches and Seams in Garment Manufacturing, Sewing Techniques for Different Fabrics, Managing Cutting, Sewing, and Finishing Processes, Working with Specialized Garment Components (Zippers, Buttons, Labels), Overcoming Challenges in Garment Assembly (Shrinkage, Stretch, Seams).

Module 4: Garment Pattern Making and Grading: Understanding Pattern Making and its Role in Garment Production, Types of Patterns (Block Patterns, Custom Patterns, etc.), Grading Patterns for Different Sizes, Modifying Patterns for Fit and Comfort, Using CAD for Pattern Making and Grading, Quality Control in Pattern Production.

Module 5: Quality Control and Testing in Garment Manufacturing: Key Quality Control Processes in Garment Manufacturing, Inspecting Fabrics and Materials for Defects, Identifying and Correcting Production Errors, Testing Garment Fit, Functionality, and Durability, Managing Post-production Quality Assurance (Ironing, Packaging, etc.), Conducting Final Garment Inspections Before Shipment.

Module 6: Production Planning and Efficiency Management: Understanding Production Planning in Garment Manufacturing, Creating Production Schedules and Timelines, Managing Workforce Efficiency and Labor Allocation, Reducing Downtime and Improving Production Flow, Implementing Lean Manufacturing Principles, Tools for Monitoring and Improving Production Output (Cycle Time, Yield, etc.).

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
