Objective: The Certified Green Building Safety Officer course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to ensure safety in the design, construction, and operation of environmentally sustainable buildings. The course covers the integration of safety protocols with green building standards such as LEED, IGBC, and GRIHA, along with topics like indoor air quality, sustainable material handling, energy-efficient systems, waste management, fire safety, and worker safety during eco-friendly construction practices.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Green Buildings and Safety Concepts: Definition and principles of green buildings, Sustainability and environmental impact in construction, Role of a safety officer in green projects, Overview of green building rating systems (LEED, IGBC, GRIHA), Green construction materials and their safety considerations, Importance of safety integration in sustainable design.

Module 2: Health and Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ): Components of IEQ and their health impact, Ventilation and air quality standards in green buildings, Control of dust, fumes, and chemical exposure, Lighting, acoustics, and thermal comfort safety, Use of non-toxic, low-emission materials, Worker health and hygiene practices on green sites.

Module 3: Site Safety and Sustainable Construction Practices: Sustainable site planning and risk assessment, Erosion control and stormwater management safety, Handling recycled and renewable materials safely, Management of green roofs and vertical gardens, Waste reduction and safe disposal techniques, Noise and vibration control measures during construction.

Module 4: Energy, Water, and Resource Safety Management: Energy-efficient systems and electrical safety, Safe installation and maintenance of solar panels and systems, Water conservation technologies and plumbing safety, Use of greywater and rainwater harvesting systems, Efficient HVAC and mechanical systems safety, Safe management of smart energy systems.

Module 5: Fire Safety and Emergency Planning in Green Buildings: Fire risks in energy-efficient and airtight buildings, Fire detection and suppression systems in green buildings, Egress and evacuation planning for sustainable designs, Safety considerations with alternative energy sources, Green building materials and fire behavior, Emergency response and sustainability integration.

Module 6: Legal, Regulatory, and Audit Aspects of Green Building Safety: Green building codes and construction safety regulations, Safety documentation and audit procedures, Environmental health and safety (EHS) compliance, Integration of safety in green building certification processes, Safety training and awareness programs for green projects, Case studies on accidents and safety audits in green buildings.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
