Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Foundations of Health and Nutrition Education: Principles of health promotion and wellness, Basics of human nutrition and dietary guidelines, Public health nutrition and community outreach, Role and responsibilities of a health and nutrition educator, Behavioral theories in health education (TPB, HBM, Transtheoretical Model), Ethics and scope of practice in nutrition education.

Module 2: Nutrients, Digestion, and Dietary Planning: Macronutrients and micronutrients: functions and sources, Digestion, absorption, and metabolism of nutrients, Dietary reference intakes (DRIs) and nutritional requirements by age and gender, Meal planning and food portioning techniques, Label reading and nutrient density education, Addressing nutritional deficiencies and imbalances.

Module 3: Nutrition Across the Life Cycle: Nutrition for infants, children, and adolescents, Maternal and prenatal nutrition education, Adult and elderly nutrition considerations, Gender-specific nutrition needs, Culturally sensitive dietary recommendations, Lifestyle-based approaches to nutrition for all age groups.

Module 4: Health Communication and Behavior Change: Principles of effective health communication, Developing and delivering engaging health education sessions, Motivational interviewing and counseling skills, Tools for behavior change and habit formation, Using technology and media in nutrition education, Group facilitation and community engagement techniques.

Module 5: Common Health Issues and Nutrition Interventions: Nutrition in prevention and management of chronic diseases (diabetes, hypertension, obesity), Immune health and nutrition, Mental health and the role of diet, Food allergies, intolerances, and special diets, Nutrition for physical activity and performance, Integrative approaches to wellness and functional nutrition.

Module 6: Program Development, Assessment, and Professional Practice: Designing community and school-based nutrition programs, Needs assessment and program planning techniques, Monitoring, evaluation, and outcome measurement, Documentation, reporting, and feedback systems, Building a career as a certified health and nutrition educator, Continuing education, certification, and professional development pathways.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
