The course covers core areas such as electronic health records (EHR), health information exchange (HIE), clinical data analytics, health IT standards, system interoperability, data privacy and security, and healthcare workflow integration.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Health Informatics: Definition, scope, and significance of health informatics, Evolution of health information systems and digital health, Roles and responsibilities of a health informatics specialist, Key stakeholders: clinicians, IT teams, administrators, Interdisciplinary nature of health informatics (medical + data + tech), Overview of health informatics in hospitals, public health, and research.

Module 2: Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Health Information Systems: Components and architecture of EHR/EMR systems, Clinical documentation and data standardization, Interoperability and data exchange across healthcare platforms, E-prescribing, lab integration, and imaging systems, Role of EHR in clinical decision support (CDS), Challenges in EHR adoption, usability, and maintenance.

Module 3: Health Data Standards and Interoperability: Introduction to healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM, SNOMED CT, LOINC), Importance of semantic and syntactic interoperability, Health information exchange (HIE) and its architecture, Role of APIs in health data sharing, Structured vs unstructured health data formats, Standardized coding systems for diagnoses and procedures.

Module 4: Data Analytics, Decision Support and Reporting: Basics of health data analytics and interpretation, Types of data: clinical, operational, financial, predictive, Using dashboards and BI tools for health reporting, Data visualization techniques for healthcare professionals, Introduction to AI/ML applications in health informatics, Supporting evidence-based decisions using informatics tools.

Module 5: Privacy, Security and Legal Aspects of Health Information: Healthcare data privacy regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, NDHM), Data protection strategies: encryption, access control, anonymization, Risk management and security policies in digital health, Legal implications of data breach and negligence, Patient consent and rights in digital records, Ethical use of data and emerging legal trends.

Module 6: Implementation, Change Management and Future Trends: Health IT project planning and system implementation steps, Stakeholder engagement and workflow integration, User training, acceptance testing, and troubleshooting, Managing resistance and supporting change in clinical settings, Mobile health (mHealth), telehealth, and wearable integration, Future trends: blockchain, IoT, AI, and precision informatics in healthcare.
