Objective: The Certified Heavy Cargo Manager course is designed to develop specialized expertise in handling, planning, and managing the logistics of heavy and oversized cargo across various sectors such as construction, energy, manufacturing, and infrastructure. The course covers cargo classification, load assessment, route and transport planning, selection of lifting and handling equipment (cranes, trailers, barges), safety protocols, permits and legal compliance, coordination with authorities, and risk management strategies. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Heavy Cargo Logistics: Definition and Types of Heavy and Oversized Cargo, Industry Applications (Oil & Gas, Construction, Wind Energy, etc.), Role and Responsibilities of a Heavy Cargo Manager, Planning and Coordination in Heavy Cargo Operations, Stakeholders in Heavy Cargo Projects, Challenges in Handling Heavy Cargo.

Module 2: Cargo Classification and Handling Techniques: Types and Characteristics of Heavy Cargo, Load Distribution and Weight Calculations, Handling Equipment (Cranes, Trailers, Forklifts), Lifting Techniques and Rigging Plans, Safety Measures During Cargo Handling, Case Studies on Heavy Lift Operations.

Module 3: Transportation Planning and Route Surveys: Modes of Heavy Cargo Transport (Road, Rail, Sea, Air), Route Assessment and Obstacle Analysis, Permits and Approvals for Oversized Loads, Escorts and Police Clearance Procedures, Feasibility Studies and Risk Assessment, Contingency Planning for Delays and Disruptions.

Module 4: Loading, Securing, and Packaging: Loading and Unloading Operations for Heavy Cargo, Lashing, Bracing, and Securing Methods, Packaging Standards for Industrial Equipment, Use of Skids, Saddles, and Cradles, Compliance with International Load Securing Codes, Inspection and Verification Procedures.

Module 5: Legal, Regulatory, and Insurance Framework: International and National Transport Regulations, Compliance with Road Transport and Marine Standards, Heavy Cargo Documentation and Customs Requirements, Insurance Policies for High-Value Cargo, Claims Handling and Damage Assessment, Liability and Risk Management.

Module 6: Project Management and Technology Integration: Project Lifecycle for Heavy Cargo Movements, Time and Cost Estimation Tools, Use of Technology (GPS, Load Sensors, Simulation Software), Coordination with Vendors and Subcontractors, Monitoring and Reporting Systems, Performance Metrics and Continuous Improvement.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
