Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).
Objective: This course is designed to equip tourism professionals with the knowledge and skills to manage, promote, and preserve historic sites while enhancing visitor experiences. Participants will learn about heritage conservation, cultural interpretation, site management, tourism marketing, visitor engagement, and sustainability practices specific to historic locations.
Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:
Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.
Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.
Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.
Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.
Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.
Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Heritage Tourism: Overview of heritage tourism and its significance, Roles and responsibilities of a heritage tourism manager, Types of historic sites and cultural attractions, Trends and innovations in heritage tourism, Understanding visitor expectations, Challenges and opportunities in heritage site management
Module 2: Heritage Site Planning & Preservation: Principles of heritage conservation, Site assessment and documentation, Preservation of architecture, artifacts, and cultural landscapes, Regulatory and legal frameworks for heritage protection, Sustainable management practices, Collaboration with conservation experts and authorities
Module 3: Visitor Experience & Interpretation: Designing engaging visitor experiences, Storytelling and interpretation techniques, Tour guiding principles and communication skills, Accessibility and inclusive tourism strategies, Managing visitor flow and experience, Monitoring visitor satisfaction and feedback
Module 4: Marketing & Promotion of Heritage Sites: Branding and positioning of historic sites, Digital marketing and social media strategies, Collaboration with travel agencies and tour operators, Event planning and cultural festivals, Public relations and media engagement, Performance monitoring of marketing initiatives
Module 5: Operations & Financial Management: Daily operations and site management, Ticketing, reservations, and visitor services, Budgeting and cost control, Revenue generation and fundraising strategies, Maintenance of facilities and security, Performance measurement and reporting
Module 6: Leadership, Strategy & Sustainable Tourism: Strategic planning for heritage tourism, Leadership and team management, Engaging local communities and stakeholders, Crisis and risk management, Promoting sustainable and responsible tourism practices, Continuous improvement and innovation in heritage site management
GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:
- Duration- 60 minutes.
- Number of Questions- 30.
- Number of Questions from each module: 5.
- Language: English.
- Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
- Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
