Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).
Objective: The Certified Home Health Aide course is designed to train individuals to provide essential personal care and daily living assistance to patients, elderly individuals, and persons with disabilities in home settings. The course focuses on developing compassionate caregiving skills, including bathing, grooming, feeding, mobility support, medication reminders, basic health monitoring, and infection control practices.
Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:
Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.
Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.
Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.
Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.
Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.
Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.
Assessment Modules:
Module 1: Introduction to Home Health Care and Role of HHA: Overview of home health care services, Roles and responsibilities of a Home Health Aide, Ethical and legal considerations in home care, Understanding patient rights and privacy (HIPAA), Professional behavior, appearance and time management, Communication skills with patients and families.
Module 2: Basic Human Anatomy, Physiology and Aging Process: Introduction to body systems and their functions, Common age-related changes and chronic conditions, Understanding mobility, cognitive and sensory changes, Monitoring vital signs and basic observations, Recognizing signs of medical emergencies, Assisting in medication reminders under supervision.
Module 3: Personal Care and Hygiene Assistance: Bathing, grooming and oral hygiene techniques, Assisting with toileting and incontinence care, Dressing, positioning and mobility support, Prevention of pressure sores and skin care, Hand hygiene and infection control measures, Respecting dignity and privacy during personal care.
Module 4: Nutrition, Feeding and Household Management: Planning and preparing simple nutritious meals, Assisting with feeding and hydration, Understanding dietary restrictions and food allergies, Light housekeeping and laundry duties, Safe use of kitchen appliances and hygiene, Grocery shopping and household organization.
Module 5: Safety, Emergency Response and Infection Control: Creating a safe home environment for patients, Fall prevention and use of assistive devices, Responding to emergencies and basic first aid, Infection control practices and PPE use, Fire safety and disaster preparedness at home, Documentation and incident reporting procedures.
Module 6: Psychosocial Support and End-of-Life Care: Providing emotional support to patients and families, Understanding mental health and dementia care, Effective listening and companionship skills, Cultural sensitivity and respecting beliefs, Supporting end-of-life and palliative care needs, Reporting changes in patient condition to supervisors.
GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:
- Duration- 60 minutes.
- Number of Questions- 30.
- Number of Questions from each module: 5.
- Language: English.
- Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
- Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
- There is no negative marking in any module.
