Global Occupational Skill Standard – GOSS ID: GOSS/HT/CHTC/V1

Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: This course is designed to equip tourism professionals with the knowledge and skills to manage and coordinate homestay accommodations effectively. Participants will learn about guest management, property preparation, cultural and community engagement, marketing, booking management, hospitality standards, and regulatory compliance.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 2: Guest Experience & Service Management: Designing memorable guest experiences, Personalization and tailored services, Guest check-in and check-out procedures, Handling complaints and special requests, Ensuring hygiene and comfort standards, Monitoring guest satisfaction and feedback

Module 3: Operations & Facility Management: Daily operations of homestay properties, Room and facility maintenance, Housekeeping and cleanliness standards, Safety and security protocols, Coordination with staff and service providers, Technology tools for operational efficiency

Module 4: Marketing, Promotion & Customer Engagement: Branding and positioning of homestays, Digital marketing and social media promotion, Collaboration with travel agents and online platforms, Customer relationship management and loyalty programs, Event and local experience promotion, Monitoring marketing performance and ROI

Module 5: Financial & Inventory Management: Budgeting and cost control for homestays, Pricing strategies and revenue management, Inventory and supply management, Record-keeping and financial reporting, Supplier and vendor coordination, Profitability analysis and performance tracking

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
