Global Occupational Skill Standard – GOSS ID: GOSS/HT/CHAS/V1

Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Hospitality Automation Specialist course is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills to implement and manage automation technologies in the hospitality industry. The program covers automated check-in/check-out systems, smart room controls, robotic service solutions, workflow automation, integration of IoT devices, data analytics, and improving operational efficiency. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Hospitality Automation and Digital Ecosystems: Definition and scope of automation in the hospitality industry, Evolution from manual to automated systems in hotel operations, Key drivers of automation: efficiency, accuracy, guest expectations, Overview of hospitality automation areas: front office, housekeeping, F&B, Benefits and limitations of automation in service environments, Role of a Hospitality Automation Specialist in modern hotel operations.

Module 2: Automation in Front Office and Guest Services: Self-service kiosks for check-in/check-out and room selection, Mobile app integration for contactless service and room access, Automated concierge systems and virtual assistants, Digital ID verification and document scanning tools, Queue management and smart lobby experience tools, PMS automation for reservations, upgrades, and room assignments.

Module 3: Smart Room and Back-of-House Automation: Guest Room Management Systems (GRMS) and IoT devices for lighting, HVAC, curtains, In-room tablets and voice assistants for guest control, Energy-saving automation and predictive maintenance alerts, Automated minibar systems, occupancy sensors, and smart locks, Housekeeping automation: room status updates, linen tracking, Robotic cleaning systems and inventory alerts.

Module 4: Food & Beverage and Banquet Automation: POS system automation and kitchen display integration, Contactless ordering and payment via QR codes and mobile apps, Smart table reservations and guest flow management tools, Robotic food delivery and automated buffet monitoring systems, Inventory and supplier automation with real-time tracking, Event planning automation for banquets and MICE operations.

Module 5: Data Integration, Workflow Automation, and Cybersecurity: Connecting automation tools with PMS, POS, CRM, and ERP systems, Workflow automation for interdepartmental communication and tasks, Real-time dashboards for performance tracking and issue resolution, Role-based access control and activity monitoring, Securing automation systems from cyber threats and data breaches, Compliance with data protection laws in automated environments.

Module 6: Strategy, Implementation, and Future Trends in Automation: Assessing automation readiness and building a tech strategy roadmap, Vendor selection, pilot testing, and phased deployment models, Staff training and change management for automation adoption, Measuring ROI and guest satisfaction with automation tools, Sustainability and green automation practices in hospitality, Emerging trends: AI-driven automation, robotics, and cloud-based platforms.

  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
