Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: This course is designed to equip hospitality professionals with the knowledge, skills, and strategies to implement sustainable and environmentally responsible practices within hotels, resorts, and other hospitality establishments. Participants will learn about energy and water management, waste reduction, sustainable sourcing, eco-certifications, and green operational standards.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Hospitality Sustainability: Overview of sustainability in hospitality, Importance of green operations, Global sustainability standards and certifications, Environmental impact of hotel and restaurant operations, Benefits of sustainable practices, Challenges in implementing sustainability initiatives

Module 2: Energy Management & Efficiency: Energy consumption patterns in hospitality, Energy-efficient equipment and technologies, Renewable energy integration, Monitoring and auditing energy usage, Energy-saving policies and staff engagement, Cost-benefit analysis of energy initiatives

Module 3: Water Conservation & Waste Management: Water usage and conservation techniques, Efficient plumbing and fixtures, Greywater and rainwater harvesting systems, Solid waste reduction and recycling strategies, Organic waste management and composting, Waste monitoring and reporting systems

Module 4: Sustainable Food & Beverage Operations: Sustainable sourcing and procurement, Menu planning for minimal environmental impact, Reducing food waste in kitchens and F&B outlets, Eco-friendly packaging and serving practices, Local and seasonal ingredient utilization, Training staff on sustainable F&B operations

Module 5: Green Building & Facility Management: Green building principles and eco-friendly construction, HVAC and lighting optimization, Sustainable interior materials and furnishings, Indoor air quality and guest comfort, Maintenance practices for resource efficiency, Monitoring and certification of green buildings

Module 6: Leadership, Strategy & Compliance in Green Hospitality: Sustainability strategy development and planning, Engaging stakeholders and building a sustainability culture, Training and development for staff, Environmental compliance and legal regulations, Reporting, auditing, and sustainability KPIs, Continuous improvement and innovation in green operations

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
