Global Occupational Skill Standard – GOSS ID: GOSS/HT/CHMA/V1

Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Hotel Management Associate course is designed to provide foundational knowledge and practical skills essential for effective hotel management. The course covers key operational areas such as front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, sales, and revenue management, with a focus on delivering excellent guest service and maintaining operational efficiency.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Hotel Management: Overview of the Hotel Industry, Types of Hotels and Classifications, Roles and Responsibilities in Hotel Management, Hotel Organizational Structure, Key Hotel Departments and Their Functions, Trends and Challenges in Hotel Management.

Module 2: Front Office Operations: Reservation Management, Guest Check-in and Check-out Procedures, Room Allocation and Upgrades, Handling Guest Complaints and Requests, Billing and Payment Processing, Use of Property Management Systems (PMS).

Module 3: Housekeeping and Maintenance Management: Housekeeping Standards and Procedures, Cleaning Schedules and Inventory Control, Coordination with Front Office, Maintenance Request Handling, Health and Safety Regulations, Managing Housekeeping Staff.

Module 4: Food and Beverage Operations: Overview of Food and Beverage Department, Menu Planning and Presentation, Restaurant and Banquet Services, Cost Control and Inventory Management, Hygiene and Food Safety Standards, Customer Service in Food and Beverage.

Module 5: Sales and Marketing in Hospitality: Basics of Hotel Sales and Marketing, Market Segmentation and Targeting, Promotion and Advertising Techniques, Online and Offline Marketing Channels, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Sales Strategies and Negotiation Skills.

Module 6: Financial and Administrative Management: Hotel Budgeting and Cost Control, Revenue Management Fundamentals, Financial Reporting and Analysis, Human Resource Management Basics, Legal and Ethical Issues in Hospitality, Use of Technology in Hotel Administration.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
