Objective: The objective of the Certified Housekeeping and Laundry Operations Manager course is to develop skilled professionals who can lead and manage both housekeeping and laundry departments. The course emphasizes maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, comfort, and linen quality while optimizing manpower, resources, and customer satisfaction in hotels, hospitals, and institutions.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Fundamentals of Housekeeping and Laundry Management: Role of housekeeping and laundry in hospitality, Organizational structure and job roles, Coordination with other departments, Importance of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction, Overview of housekeeping and laundry SOPs, Housekeeping layout and workflow.

Module 2: Cleaning Procedures and Surface Care: Types of cleaning agents and chemicals, Cleaning tools and equipment usage, Procedures for room, bathroom, and public area cleaning, Carpet and upholstery care, Hard surface maintenance, Waste disposal and sanitation procedures.

Module 3: Laundry Operations and Linen Management: Laundry workflow (collection to delivery), Classification and processing of linens and uniforms, Washing, drying, ironing, and folding procedures, Laundry machines and safety protocols, Stain removal and fabric care techniques, Inventory and par stock control.

Module 4: Supervision and Staff Management: Staff planning and scheduling, Training and skill development, Performance monitoring and appraisals, Leadership and team management, Conflict resolution and workplace discipline, Communication and motivation techniques.

Module 5: Quality Control, Safety and Hygiene: Inspection checklists and quality standards, Guest room audits and feedback management, Hygiene standards and pest control measures, Safety procedures and emergency response, Handling hazardous materials in cleaning and laundry, Ensuring COVID-safe practices.

Module 6: Inventory, Cost Control and Technology: Procurement of housekeeping and laundry supplies, Budgeting and cost control measures, Stocktaking and inventory management, Use of property management systems (PMS) and housekeeping software, Automation in laundry and green practices, Reports and documentation for management.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
