Objective: The Certified Inspection Officer course is designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to carry out quality inspections across different stages of textile and garment production. The course covers inspection techniques for raw materials (fibers, yarns, fabrics), in-process checks during manufacturing, final product inspections, and compliance with quality standards and buyer specifications.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Textile Inspection: Overview of Textile Inspection, Role and Importance of Inspection in the Textile Industry, Types of Textile Inspections (Incoming, In-process, Final Inspection), Inspection Standards and Quality Parameters, Understanding the Textile Supply Chain and Inspection Points, Key Responsibilities of an Inspection Officer.

Module 2: Inspection Tools and Techniques: Types of Inspection Tools (Calipers, Magnifying Glasses, Micrometers), Visual and Physical Inspection Techniques, Measuring Fabric Defects (Thread Count, Yarn Breakage, Pilling, Shrinkage), Inspection for Fabric Construction and Quality (Weave, Knit, Finish), Use of Electronic Inspection Equipment (Automated Fabric Inspection Systems), Techniques for Measuring Dimensional Stability and Color Consistency.

Module 3: Inspection of Raw Materials and Semi-finished Goods: Incoming Raw Material Inspection (Fibers, Yarns, Dyes, and Chemicals), Assessment of Fabric Quality and Suitability for Further Processing, Monitoring Semi-finished Goods (Grey Fabric, Dyed and Printed Fabrics), Identifying Defects in Dyeing, Printing, and Finishing Processes, Conducting Sampling for Material Quality, Handling and Storing Materials According to Inspection Protocols.

Module 4: In-Process Quality Control and Monitoring: In-process Inspection Techniques for Manufacturing Stages, Monitoring Fabric Manufacturing Processes (Weaving, Knitting, Dyeing, and Finishing), Defining Acceptable Quality Levels (AQL) in In-process Inspections, Tracking and Correcting Quality Issues during Production, Preventing Recurrence of Defects, Documenting and Reporting In-process Quality Control Results.

Module 5: Final Product Inspection and Compliance: Final Inspection Procedures for Textile Products (Garments, Fabrics, Home Textiles), Verifying Product Specifications and Customer Requirements, Conducting Functional and Aesthetic Tests (Shrinkage, Color Fastness, Durability), Inspection of Packaging and Labeling Compliance, Final Quality Assurance and Reporting for Shipping, Adhering to International Standards and Regulatory Requirements.

Module 6: Inspection Documentation, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement: Maintaining Inspection Records and Documentation, Writing Inspection Reports and Non-conformance Reports, Implementing Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), Continuous Improvement in Inspection Techniques, Use of Statistical Tools for Quality Control (SPC, Six Sigma), Collaboration with Production Teams to Ensure Quality Standards.
