Global Occupational Skill Standard – GOSS ID: GOSS/AD/CIGA/V1

Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Interactive Game Artist course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to create visually compelling and interactive assets for video games and digital entertainment. The course covers game art fundamentals, character and environment design, 2D and 3D modeling, texturing, animation basics, concept development, storytelling, user experience design, and integration of assets into game engines.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Fundamentals of Game Art: Introduction to interactive game art, Principles of visual storytelling, Game art pipelines and workflows, Elements of design (color, composition, perspective), Understanding player experience and engagement, Case studies of successful game art

Module 2: Concept Art and Character Design: Concept development for games, Character design principles, Environment and world-building concepts, Sketching and ideation techniques, Digital illustration for games, Iteration and feedback processes

Module 3: 3D Modeling and Animation: 3D modeling software (Blender, Maya, 3ds Max), Low-poly and high-poly modeling, Character and environment modeling, Texturing and material creation, Rigging and basic animation, Optimizing assets for game engines

Module 4: Game Environment Design: Designing immersive game worlds, Level design principles, Architectural and natural environment modeling, Lighting and atmosphere creation, Asset placement and scene composition, Story-driven environment integration

Module 5: Visual Effects and Post-Processing: Particle effects and VFX in games, Shader creation and application, Dynamic lighting and shadows, Post-processing techniques, Animation integration with effects, Performance optimization for visuals

Module 6: Portfolio Development and Industry Practices: Building a professional game art portfolio, Presenting interactive art effectively, Collaboration with developers and designers, Industry-standard workflows and pipelines, Continuous skill development, Keeping updated with trends and tools in game art

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
