Objective: The Certified Inventory Accuracy Specialist course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills needed to ensure precise and reliable inventory records across warehouse and supply chain operations. The course covers root causes of inventory discrepancies, cycle counting techniques, reconciliation methods, stocktaking procedures, barcode/RFID system usage, inventory audits, and documentation standards. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Fundamentals of Inventory Accuracy and Stock Integrity: Definition and importance of inventory accuracy in supply chain performance, Key causes of inventory inaccuracy: human error, system gaps, theft, Types of inventory: cycle stock, buffer stock, obsolete stock, Metrics and benchmarks for measuring accuracy (e.g., stock accuracy %, shrinkage %), The role of an Inventory Accuracy Specialist in warehouse and retail operations, Overview of stock integrity across multi-location and omnichannel environments.

Module 2: Inventory Counting Methods and Best Practices: Physical inventory vs cycle counting: definitions, benefits, and procedures, Cycle counting methods: ABC-based, random, control group, spot checks, Preparation for physical stocktaking: planning, staffing, communication, Common errors during counting and how to mitigate them, Documentation, reconciliation, and adjustment of inventory records, Audit trails and inventory accuracy certifications.

Module 3: Root Cause Analysis and Error Prevention Techniques: Identifying root causes of inventory discrepancies (e.g., scanning errors, picking mistakes), Tools for analysis: 5 Whys, Fishbone diagram, Pareto analysis, Process mapping of receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping, Implementing error-proofing (poka-yoke) techniques in inventory handling, Training programs for staff on accuracy protocols and SOPs, Continuous improvement culture for accuracy enhancement.

Module 4: Inventory Tracking Technologies and System Integration: Barcode scanning and RFID for real-time inventory updates, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and their role in inventory visibility, Integration of ERP with inventory modules and mobile platforms, Internet of Things (IoT) and AI applications in inventory accuracy, Using dashboards, reports, and alerts for inventory tracking and audit readiness, Data synchronization between physical stock and digital records.

Module 5: Loss Prevention, Compliance, and Quality Control: Loss types: operational, administrative, process-driven, and external theft, Inventory security controls: surveillance, access control, audit trails, Compliance with standards: ISO 9001, ISO 22301, GxP, SOX, Inventory quality checks and control processes for high-value/regulated items, Legal and financial implications of inventory inaccuracy, Documentation and reporting for audits and internal compliance reviews.

Module 6: Accuracy Improvement Strategies and Performance Optimization: Developing KPIs and SLAs for inventory accuracy improvement, Forecasting and replenishment accuracy link to stock integrity, Lean inventory practices and 5S implementation in stock areas, Cross-functional collaboration: warehouse, procurement, sales, IT, Designing and implementing a continuous improvement inventory accuracy program, Capstone project: create an inventory accuracy improvement plan for a case company.

  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
