Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Inventory Management: Definition and Objectives of Inventory Management, Types of Inventory (Raw Material, WIP, Finished Goods), Role of Inventory in Supply Chain, Functions of an Inventory Manager, Inventory Costs (Holding, Ordering, Shortage), Inventory Classifications and Coding.

Module 2: Inventory Control Techniques: ABC, XYZ, FSN, and HML Analysis, Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) Models, Reorder Point and Safety Stock Calculation, Just-in-Time (JIT) Inventory, Two-Bin and Kanban Systems, Inventory Turnover Ratio and Optimization.

Module 3: Demand Forecasting and Planning: Importance of Forecasting in Inventory Planning, Quantitative vs. Qualitative Forecasting Methods, Seasonal and Trend Analysis, Collaborative Planning, Forecast Accuracy Metrics (MAPE, MAD), Integrating Forecasting with Inventory Decisions.

Module 4: Inventory Recording and Valuation Methods: Inventory Tracking Systems (Perpetual vs. Periodic), Barcode and RFID Systems, FIFO, LIFO, and Weighted Average Methods, Inventory Reconciliation and Adjustments, Stock Audits and Physical Verification, Technology Tools for Inventory Accounting.

Module 5: Warehouse and Storage Management: Layout and Design of Warehouses, Storage Systems and Equipment, Inventory Location and Slotting, Inventory Security and Damage Control, Picking, Packing, and Dispatching Procedures, Warehouse Management System (WMS) Integration.

Module 6: Performance Monitoring and Risk Management: Inventory KPIs and Performance Dashboards, Shrinkage and Loss Prevention, Obsolete and Slow-Moving Inventory Management, Risk Identification and Mitigation in Inventory, Legal and Regulatory Compliance, Continuous Improvement in Inventory Practices.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
