Objective: The Certified IoT Security Specialist course is designed to equip professionals with specialized knowledge and practical skills to identify, mitigate, and prevent security threats within Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystems. This course covers the unique security challenges posed by IoT devices, networks, and platforms, including embedded system vulnerabilities, insecure communication protocols, and lack of standardization.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to IoT and Security Concepts: Overview of IoT Ecosystem, Components of IoT Architecture, IoT Communication Models and Protocols, Security Challenges in IoT, Key IoT Attack Surfaces, Importance of End-to-End Security.

Module 2: IoT Device and Hardware Security: Securing Embedded Systems, Hardware-Based Attacks and Protections, Secure Boot and Trusted Execution, Secure Firmware Updates, Device Identity and Authentication, Hardware Security Modules (HSM).

Module 3: IoT Network and Communication Security: IoT Network Architectures, Secure Communication Protocols (MQTT, CoAP, etc.), Encryption Techniques for IoT, Network Segmentation and Isolation, Securing Wireless Communications (BLE, ZigBee), VPNs and Tunneling for IoT.

Module 4: Cloud and Edge Security in IoT: Cloud Integration and Security Risks, Securing Data at Rest and in Transit, Identity and Access Management for IoT Platforms, Edge Computing Security Best Practices, Cloud-Native IoT Security Tools, Multi-Tenant Security Considerations.

Module 5: Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance: IoT Risk Assessment and Threat Modeling, Privacy and Data Protection in IoT, Compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, and Other Standards, IoT Security Frameworks (NIST, ISO/IEC), Incident Detection and Response, Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Assessment.

Module 6: IoT Security Design, Best Practices and Future Trends: Secure Design Principles for IoT Solutions, Zero Trust Architecture in IoT, Security in IoT Lifecycle Management, Case Studies in IoT Security Breaches, Role of AI/ML in Enhancing IoT Security, Emerging Trends and Future of IoT Security.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
