Global Occupational Skill Standard – GOSS ID: GOSS/AD/CLP/V1

Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Landscape Photographer course is designed to equip aspiring and experienced photographers with the technical, artistic, and professional skills required to master the art of landscape photography. The course focuses on understanding light, composition, camera settings, and post-processing techniques to capture compelling natural scenes. It also covers ethical practices, environmental awareness, and the business aspects of landscape photography, preparing students to produce portfolio-quality work and pursue professional opportunities in the field.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Fundamentals of Landscape Photography: Introduction to landscape photography, Understanding camera types and settings, Role of natural light in landscape photography, Composition basics and rule of thirds, Essential gear and accessories for landscapes, Understanding file formats (RAW vs JPEG)

Module 2: Mastering Camera Settings for Landscapes: Manual mode and exposure triangle, Aperture and depth of field control, Shutter speed and capturing motion, ISO management and noise reduction, Using histograms and exposure compensation, White balance and color temperature

Module 3: Composition and Creativity in Landscapes: Advanced composition techniques (leading lines, framing), Foreground, middleground, and background balance, Creating depth and scale in images, Using symmetry and patterns, Golden hour and blue hour shooting, Storytelling through landscape photography

Module 4: Field Techniques and Weather Conditions: Scouting and location planning, Using maps and apps for sun/moon tracking, Understanding and adapting to weather, Shooting in challenging conditions (fog, rain, snow), Safety and ethics in the field, Long exposure techniques and use of filters

Module 5: Post-Processing and Image Enhancement: Introduction to photo editing software (Lightroom, Photoshop), RAW processing and tonal adjustments, Color correction and enhancement, Sharpening and noise reduction, Panorama stitching and HDR blending, Workflow and file organization

Module 6: Professional Development and Portfolio Building: Building a cohesive portfolio, Branding and personal style, Marketing and social media strategies, Working with clients and licensing images, Entering competitions and exhibitions, Career paths and business opportunities in landscape photography

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
