Global Occupational Skill Standard – GOSS ID: GOSS/TL/CLLS/V1

Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Lean Logistics Specialist course is designed to train professionals in applying Lean principles to logistics and supply chain operations to eliminate waste, reduce costs, and enhance value delivery. The course covers core Lean concepts such as value stream mapping, Just-In-Time (JIT), 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, and continuous flow, with a focus on their application in transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfillment.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Fundamentals of Lean Logistics: Introduction to Lean Principles in Logistics, Objectives and Benefits of Lean Logistics, Waste Identification in Logistics Processes (TIMWOOD), Lean vs Traditional Logistics Approaches, Key Roles and Responsibilities of a Lean Logistics Specialist, Value Stream Thinking in Logistics.

Module 2: Value Stream Mapping and Process Analysis: Creating Current and Future State Value Stream Maps, Identifying Value-Adding and Non-Value-Adding Activities, Bottleneck and Constraint Analysis in Material Flow, Takt Time, Lead Time, and Cycle Time Analysis, Logistics Flow Optimization Techniques, Mapping Tools and Templates for Continuous Improvement.

Module 3: Lean Tools and Techniques in Logistics: Application of 5S for Workplace Organization, Kanban Systems for Inventory Control and Replenishment, Kaizen and Continuous Improvement Practices, Standard Work in Warehousing and Transportation, Visual Management and Error-Proofing (Poka-Yoke), Pull Systems and Just-In-Time (JIT) Logistics.

Module 4: Inventory and Warehouse Optimization: Lean Inventory Concepts (EOQ, JIT, VMI), Elimination of Overstocking and Stockouts, Slotting Optimization and Space Utilization, Cross-Docking and Flow-Through Distribution, Lean Warehousing Design and Operations, Real-Time Inventory Monitoring with Lean Tools.

Module 5: Lean Transportation and Distribution: Load Optimization and Route Planning with Lean Thinking, Milk Runs and Consolidation Strategies, Reducing Empty Miles and Fuel Wastage, Carrier Collaboration and Lean Delivery Scheduling, Transportation KPIs and Performance Improvement, Environmental Benefits of Lean Transportation.

Module 6: Implementation, Culture, and Sustainability: Steps for Implementing Lean in Logistics Operations, Building Cross-Functional Lean Teams, Change Management and Employee Involvement, Sustaining Lean Improvements Over Time, Measuring ROI from Lean Initiatives, Case Studies on Successful Lean Logistics Transformations.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
