Eligibility: 10th (High School) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Makeup Artist course aims to provide comprehensive, hands-on training in professional makeup artistry. The course is designed to develop a strong foundation in skin preparation, color theory, face shapes, and corrective techniques. Students will learn a variety of makeup styles including bridal, fashion, editorial, and special occasion looks, while mastering tools, hygiene practices, and product knowledge.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Makeup Artistry: History of makeup and evolution of beauty standards, Roles and responsibilities of a professional makeup artist, Understanding face shapes and skin types, Makeup hygiene and sanitation practices, Introduction to makeup tools and products, Client consultation and skin analysis.

Module 2: Base Makeup and Skin Preparation: Skincare routine before makeup, Primers and their types, Foundation selection and application techniques, Color correction and concealing, Highlighting and contouring fundamentals, Setting techniques using powders and sprays.

Module 3: Eye and Brow Makeup Techniques: Eye shapes and their makeup adaptations, Eyebrow mapping and shaping techniques, Eyeshadow blending and layering techniques, Eyeliner styles and application, Mascara and eyelash application (strip and individual), Day vs. evening eye makeup looks.

Module 4: Lip Makeup and Color Theory: Color theory basics for makeup artists, Lipstick textures and finishes, Lip shaping and correction techniques, Lip liner application and blending, Ombre and gradient lip techniques, Choosing lip colors based on undertones.

Module 5: Bridal and Occasion Makeup: Understanding different bridal looks (traditional, contemporary), Long-lasting makeup techniques for events, HD and waterproof makeup products, Customizing looks based on cultural requirements, Working with different lighting conditions, Time management for bridal appointments.

Module 6: Professional Practices and Portfolio Development: Building a professional makeup kit, Photography and lighting for showcasing work, Creating a diverse makeup portfolio, Pricing and client booking strategies, Social media marketing for makeup artists, Legal and business aspects of freelance makeup artistry.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
