Eligibility: 10th (High School) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Mason course is designed to train individuals in the fundamentals of masonry work, including bricklaying, block work, plastering, tile fixing, and concrete work. This hands-on program is ideal for those seeking employment in the construction sector or aiming to enhance their skills for independent contracting and site-based masonry jobs.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Masonry Work: Role and responsibilities of a mason, Types of masonry (brick, stone, block), Basic tools and equipment used in masonry, Understanding drawings and specifications, Materials used in construction (cement, sand, bricks, aggregates), Safety measures and PPE for masons.

Module 2: Brick and Block Masonry: Types of bricks and blocks, Techniques for laying bricks and blocks, Mixing and applying mortar, Bond patterns (English, Flemish, Stretcher), Curing process and timing, Common defects and their remedies.

Module 3: Stone Masonry and Cladding: Types of stones used in construction, Tools and techniques for stone cutting and dressing, Laying stones with proper alignment, Joints in stone masonry, Fixing and polishing of stone cladding, Maintenance of stone structures.

Module 4: Plastering and Pointing: Surface preparation for plastering, Types of plaster (single coat, double coat), Methods of applying plaster, Finishing techniques (smooth, roughcast, textured), Pointing types and tools, Curing and defect prevention in plastering.

Module 5: Concrete Work and Flooring: Mixing and pouring concrete manually, Formwork and shuttering basics, Laying of PCC and RCC flooring, Types of flooring materials (tiles, stone, concrete), Surface finishing and polishing, Expansion joints and floor leveling.

Module 6: Construction Measurements and Quality Control: Reading and using measuring tools (tape, level, plumb), Estimating materials for masonry tasks, Understanding levels, slopes, and alignments, Checking verticality and accuracy of walls, Common quality checks in masonry, Documentation and reporting in site work.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
