Eligibility: 10th (High School) or Equivalent or minimum 1 year of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Massage Therapist course is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience required to become professional massage therapists. The course focuses on human anatomy, physiology, and the principles of massage therapy, enabling students to assess clients’ physical conditions and apply appropriate massage techniques to promote relaxation, pain relief, and overall wellness.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Introduction to Massage Therapy: Overview of massage therapy and its benefits, Roles and responsibilities of a massage therapist, History and types of massage techniques, Ethical and professional standards, Anatomy and physiology basics, Contraindications and safety considerations

Module 2: Anatomy and Physiology for Massage: Muscular system and major muscle groups, Skeletal system and joint structure, Nervous system and its role in massage, Circulatory and lymphatic systems, Respiratory and digestive systems, Body mechanics and posture for therapists

Module 3: Massage Techniques and Modalities: Swedish massage techniques, Deep tissue massage, Sports massage fundamentals, Trigger point therapy, Reflexology and acupressure, Hot stone and aromatherapy massage basics

Module 4: Client Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conducting client intake and health assessment, Identifying client needs and goals, Developing personalized treatment plans, Assessing contraindications and precautions, Documenting client progress, Modifying techniques based on client response

Module 5: Safety, Hygiene, and Professional Practice: Infection control and hygiene standards, Workplace safety and ergonomics, Use of oils, creams, and equipment safely, Client privacy and confidentiality, Professional ethics and communication, Managing client comfort and expectations

Module 6: Business and Operational Skills for Massage Therapists: Setting up a massage therapy practice, Scheduling and managing appointments, Billing and record-keeping, Marketing and client retention strategies, Legal and insurance considerations, Continuing education and professional development

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
