Objective: The Certified Materials Manager (CMM) course aims to develop competent professionals in the field of materials management by imparting comprehensive knowledge of procurement, inventory control, logistics, warehousing, production planning, and supply chain management. The course is designed to enhance strategic thinking, analytical abilities, and practical skills required to plan, source, store, and distribute materials efficiently. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Materials Management: Overview of materials management, Objectives and functions, Role in supply chain management, Classification of materials, Interface with other departments, Key performance indicators.

Module 2: Inventory Management: Types of inventory, Inventory control techniques (ABC, VED, FSN), Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Reorder point and safety stock, Inventory valuation methods, Inventory audit and verification.

Module 3: Procurement and Purchasing Management: Purchasing cycle and procedures, Vendor selection and rating, Tendering and negotiation techniques, Legal aspects of purchasing, Global sourcing and import procedures, E-procurement systems.

Module 4: Warehouse and Stores Management: Functions and types of warehouses, Layout and design considerations, Materials handling systems, Storage systems and coding, Stock verification methods, Safety and security in stores.

Module 5: Logistics and Distribution Management: Basics of logistics, Transportation modes and selection, Distribution network design, Freight management and documentation, Reverse logistics, Performance metrics in logistics.

Module 6: Strategic Materials Planning and Control: Forecasting techniques, Demand management, Capacity planning, Materials Requirement Planning (MRP), Just-In-Time (JIT) and Lean systems, ERP and IT tools in materials management.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
