Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Media Production Workflows: Understanding the media production lifecycle (pre-production, production, post-production, distribution), Roles and responsibilities of a media production workflow manager, Types of media projects (film, TV, OTT, digital, branded content), Differences in workflows for live, scripted, and non-scripted content, Overview of media file types, formats, and codecs, Importance of workflow standardization and version control.

Module 2: Pre-Production Planning and Workflow Design: Planning production stages and allocating resources, Creating workflow diagrams, task lists, and process maps, Integrating scheduling tools and project management platforms (Trello, Asana, StudioBinder), Coordinating with production teams for asset and resource readiness, Setting up metadata conventions and folder structures, Risk identification and contingency planning.

Module 3: Data Management and Digital Asset Workflow: Ingesting, logging, and organizing raw media from camera to storage, File naming, tagging, and metadata tracking systems, Managing dailies, proxies, and high-resolution media, Archiving, backups, and media lifecycle management, Transcoding, syncing, and format conversions, Using MAM (Media Asset Management) and DAM (Digital Asset Management) tools.

Module 4: Production and Post-Production Coordination: Coordinating across departments: camera, sound, editorial, VFX, graphics, Overseeing media transfers and ensuring file integrity (checksum, MD5), Managing review, approval, and version tracking systems, Maintaining communication between editors, directors, and producers, Monitoring post-production timelines, deliverables, and revisions, Troubleshooting delays and workflow disruptions.

Module 5: Software, Tools, and Technical Workflow Integration: Familiarity with key production and post tools (Adobe CC, DaVinci Resolve, Avid, Frame.io, Dropbox, Google Workspace), Workflow automation tools and APIs for file movement and notifications, Setting up collaborative workflows for remote and hybrid teams, Ensuring security, access control, and data encryption, Working with cloud-based workflows and virtual production environments, Optimizing render, export, and delivery pipelines.

Module 6: Reporting, Compliance, and Career Development: Tracking productivity, status, and KPIs across project phases, Generating workflow reports and production summaries for stakeholders, Ensuring compliance with broadcast and platform delivery specs, Documentation of workflow best practices and SOPs, Creating a professional workflow case study portfolio, Career paths in production coordination, technical direction, and operations management.
