Objective: The Certified Medical Tourism Coordinator course is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage and coordinate medical tourism services. The program covers healthcare systems, patient care coordination, international travel logistics, medical ethics, cross-cultural communication, legal considerations, and quality assurance in medical tourism.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:
Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.
Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.
Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.
Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.
Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.
Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Medical Tourism and Global Industry Overview: Definition and scope of medical tourism, Evolution and growth drivers of global medical travel, Key medical tourism destinations and treatment specialties, Stakeholders in the medical tourism ecosystem: hospitals, facilitators, insurers, Understanding patient motivations and decision-making factors, Role and responsibilities of a Medical Tourism Coordinator.
Module 2: Medical Procedures and Healthcare Services for Tourists: Overview of common treatments sought: dental, cosmetic, orthopedic, cardiac, Understanding treatment pathways, recovery timelines, and medical terminology, Matching patient needs with appropriate healthcare providers and destinations, Coordinating second opinions, teleconsultations, and pre-travel medical planning, Understanding medical risks, contraindications, and informed consent, Navigating alternative and wellness-based medical offerings.
Module 3: Coordination, Logistics, and Patient Experience Management: Managing end-to-end travel and treatment arrangements for patients, Pre-arrival planning: visa, documents, appointments, travel insurance, Local coordination: airport pickup, accommodation, hospital check-in, Managing patient escort needs, translators, and special requirements, Post-treatment recovery planning, discharge, and wellness add-ons, Handling medical records, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.
Module 4: Legal, Ethical, and Insurance Aspects of Medical Tourism: Understanding international patient rights, liability, and malpractice issues, Legal contracts between patients, providers, and facilitators, Ethical considerations: transparency, informed decision-making, and no exploitation, Overview of medical travel insurance, claims, and coverage limitations, Accreditation and quality standards for medical facilities (JCI, NABH), Risk management and emergency handling protocols.
Module 5: Marketing and Communication for Medical Tourism: Building trust through ethical and informative marketing practices, Creating patient-focused promotional materials and digital presence, Managing website content, SEO, social media, and medical listings, Handling inquiries, conversions, and lead management professionally, Cross-cultural communication skills for international client relations, Collaborating with agents, facilitators, and health travel companies.
Module 6: Industry Trends, Technology, and Future of Medical Tourism: Impact of telemedicine and digital health on medical tourism, Use of CRM systems, AI chatbots, and patient portals for coordination, Rise of integrative care: combining medical, wellness, and recovery tourism, Emerging markets and treatment innovations in global healthcare travel, Sustainability and ethical branding in medical tourism destinations, Career pathways, certifications, and entrepreneurship in medical tourism coordination.
