The course trains individuals in the principles of medical writing, research interpretation, regulatory writing, clinical documentation, patient education materials, scientific publications, and digital health communication.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Medical Writing and Healthcare Communication:Definition and scope of medical writing, Types of medical writing: regulatory, scientific, marketing and educational, Role and responsibilities of a medical writer, Basics of healthcare systems, medical terminology and documentation, Ethical issues in medical writing and authorship, Understanding target audience: clinicians, regulators, patients.

Module 2: Medical Terminology and Literature Research: Roots, prefixes, and suffixes in medical terminology, Understanding anatomy, physiology, diseases, and treatments, Using medical dictionaries and databases (PubMed, Medline), Literature review techniques and citation practices, Identifying credible sources and evaluating scientific evidence, Referencing styles: Vancouver, APA, MLA.

Module 3: Writing Clinical and Regulatory Documents: Structure and components of clinical study protocols and reports, Writing Investigator Brochures (IB), Informed Consent Forms (ICF), Case Report Forms (CRF), Clinical Study Reports (CSR) and summaries, Introduction to regulatory guidelines (ICH-GCP, FDA, EMA), Ensuring compliance and accuracy in regulatory submissions.

Module 4: Scientific and Educational Medical Writing: Writing abstracts, journal articles, posters and presentations, Creating Continuing Medical Education (CME) content, Writing patient education materials and leaflets, Translating complex information into layman’s terms, Editing and proofreading for scientific clarity, Structuring documents for readability and flow.

Module 5: Promotional and Digital Medical Content: Writing for pharmaceutical marketing and medical communication agencies, Developing content for brochures, product monographs, newsletters, blogs, Writing content for healthcare websites, social media and emailers, Compliance with legal and ethical standards in promotions, Search engine optimization (SEO) for medical content, Creating medical content calendars and campaign briefs.

Module 6: Tools, Quality Control and Career Development: Using writing tools: MS Word, EndNote, Grammarly, referencing software, Document formatting, templates and version control, Quality checks and medical accuracy validation, Understanding freelance, agency and in-house career paths, Building a medical writing portfolio and CV, Keeping up with trends and certifications in medical writing.

  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
