Objective: The objective of the Certified Navisworks Clash Detection Analyst course is to provide learners with specialized skills in utilizing Autodesk Navisworks for advanced clash detection and coordination in Building Information Modeling (BIM) environments. The course covers key concepts such as model aggregation, clash test setup, rule-based clash detection, clash grouping and reporting, and integration with other BIM tools. Emphasis is placed on improving interdisciplinary collaboration, minimizing construction errors, and enhancing project efficiency.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Navisworks and BIM Integration:Overview of Navisworks and its role in BIM, Navisworks product versions and differences (Simulate vs Manage), Understanding file types and compatibility (NWF, NWD, NWC), Importing models from Revit, AutoCAD, and other BIM tools, Interface navigation and workspace customization, Model aggregation and federation.

Module 2: Model Navigation and Visualization Tools: Viewpoint creation and management, Walkthroughs and animations, Sectioning tools and model review techniques, Measuring and markup tools, TimeLiner overview for construction simulation, Saving and sharing viewpoints with teams.

Module 3: Clash Detection Fundamentals: Understanding clash detection principles, Hard, soft, and clearance clash definitions, Setting up clash detection tests, Clash rules and tolerances, Navigating and analyzing clash results, Organizing clashes using filters and groups.

Module 4: Advanced Clash Management Techniques: Clash matrix setup for discipline coordination, Clash result exporting and reporting formats, Integrating clash detection with project workflows, Assigning and tracking clash responsibility, Clash status management (new, reviewed, approved, resolved), Using selection and search sets for optimized clash tests.

Module 5: Collaboration and Coordination in BIM Environment: BIM coordination workflows and standards, Working with multiple disciplines (MEP, Architectural, Structural), Issue tracking and resolution strategies, Communication and documentation practices, Linking with external issue-tracking tools (e.g., BIM Track, Revizto), Role of Navisworks in multidisciplinary coordination meetings.

Module 6: Project Delivery and Reporting: Creating custom clash reports (HTML, XML, viewpoints), Integrating reports with other BIM documentation, Exporting coordinated models for downstream use, Best practices for model version control, Quality control and auditing of clash tests, Finalizing and submitting coordination deliverables.

  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
