It covers fundamental skills such as color mixing, brush handling, layering, and glazing, as well as advanced concepts including composition, light and shadow, texture creation, and style development. The course also emphasizes art theory, history, and the use of high-quality materials to foster a professional approach.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Oil Painting: History and evolution of oil painting, Types of oil paints and mediums, Essential tools and materials, Surface preparation (canvas, wood, paper), Studio safety and ventilation, Setting up a beginner’s workspace.

Module 2: Color Theory and Mixing Techniques: Primary, secondary, and tertiary colors, Color wheel and harmonies, Warm vs cool colors, Value, tint, tone, and shade, Mixing skin tones and complex colors, Avoiding muddy colors.

Module 3: Fundamental Painting Techniques: Alla prima and glazing methods, Impasto and scumbling techniques, Blending and layering, Dry brush vs wet-on-wet, Brush handling and control, Edge control and transitions.

Module 4: Composition and Design Principles: Understanding focal points, Rule of thirds and golden ratio, Balance and harmony in painting, Line, shape, and form, Light, shadow, and perspective, Creating dynamic compositions.

Module 5: Still Life, Landscape, and Portrait Painting: Setting up a still life composition, Techniques for painting natural landscapes, Capturing skies, trees, and water, Proportions and anatomy for portraits, Rendering facial features and expressions, Painting from photographs vs live subjects.

Module 6: Finishing, Preservation, and Professional Practice: Final detailing and corrections, Varnishing and framing artworks, Archiving and storage techniques, Pricing and selling artwork, Portfolio development and exhibitions, Ethics and legalities in art practice.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

Duration- 60 minutes.
Number of Questions- 30.

Language: English.
Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
