Certification Name: Certified Panchakarma Technician

Global Occupational Skill Standard – GOSS ID: GOSS/YM/CPT/V1

Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The objective of the Certified Panchakarma Technician course is to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of Ayurveda’s detoxification and rejuvenation branch—Panchakarma. The course aims to develop practical skills and theoretical knowledge in classical Ayurvedic therapies, enabling students to assist Ayurvedic physicians in administering Panchakarma procedures. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Ayurveda and Panchakarma: History and philosophy of Ayurveda,Basic principles: Tridosha and Panchamahabhuta,Concept of health and disease in Ayurveda,Introduction to Panchakarma and its importance,Eligibility and contraindications for Panchakarma,Therapist’s code of conduct and ethics.

Module 2: Anatomy and Physiology (Ayurvedic and Modern Perspective): Basic human anatomy systems overview,Concept of Srotas (body channels),Concept of Dhatus (tissues) and Malas (wastes),Agni and Ama – metabolism and toxins,Nadis and Marma points,Comparison between Ayurvedic and modern anatomy.

Module 3: Panchakarma Procedures – Purva Karma (Preparatory Measures): Abhyanga (therapeutic oil massage),Swedana (fomentation/sudation techniques),Types of Snehana (internal and external oleation),Types and benefits of Swedana,Yoga and lifestyle before Panchakarma,Dietary guidelines before main therapies.

Module 4: Panchakarma Procedures – Pradhana Karma (Main Therapies): Vamana (therapeutic emesis),Virechana (therapeutic purgation),Basti (medicated enema),Nasya (nasal administration),Raktamokshana (bloodletting),Indications, contraindications, and procedure steps.

Module 5: Panchakarma Procedures – Paschat Karma (Post-Therapy Regimen): Samsarjana Krama (post-detox diet plan),Rest and rejuvenation protocols,Herbal and Rasayana support,Gradual reintroduction of routine activities,Follow-up and lifestyle guidance,Monitoring patient response and progress.

Module 6: Practical Training and Case Studies: Hands-on practice of Abhyanga and Swedana,Preparation and application of Panchakarma oils and decoctions,Supervised performance of Basti and Nasya,Patient assessment and Panchakarma planning,Case documentation and reporting,Emergency handling and hygiene protocols.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
