Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) course is designed to equip individuals with the knowledge, skills, and professional competencies needed to assess, design, and implement individualized fitness programs. The curriculum covers human anatomy and physiology, exercise science, client assessment, program design, biomechanics, nutrition fundamentals, behavior change strategies, safety and injury prevention, and professional ethics. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Personal Training and Professional Responsibilities: Role and scope of a Certified Personal Trainer, Professional ethics, conduct, and client confidentiality, Understanding client-trainer relationships and communication skills, Legal responsibilities, documentation, and liability insurance, Career paths in personal training: gym, online, corporate, freelance, Client onboarding process: consultation, screening, and goal setting.

Module 2: Anatomy, Physiology, and Kinesiology for Fitness: Muscular system: major muscle groups and functions, Skeletal system and joint types relevant to exercise, Cardiovascular and respiratory systems during exercise, Planes of motion and movement mechanics, Functional anatomy and biomechanics of common exercises, Energy systems and their role in exercise programming.

Module 3: Client Assessment and Program Design: Initial fitness assessments: posture, flexibility, strength, endurance, and body composition, Interpreting assessment data for personalized program planning, SMART goal setting and tracking progress over time, Designing programs for general fitness, weight loss, muscle gain, and performance, Training principles: overload, progression, specificity, and variation, Adjusting programs for beginner, intermediate, and advanced clients.

Module 4: Resistance, Cardio, and Flexibility Training Techniques: Proper techniques for resistance exercises using free weights, machines, and bodyweight, Cardiorespiratory training methods: steady-state, intervals, HIIT, Flexibility and mobility techniques: static, dynamic, and PNF stretching, Exercise selection based on goals and movement patterns, Instruction on sets, reps, tempo, rest periods, and intensity, Teaching safe form, spotting, and progression strategies.

Module 5: Special Populations, Safety, and Injury Prevention: Designing programs for seniors, youth, prenatal/postnatal, and individuals with health concerns, Common medical conditions: diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, and exercise modifications, Identifying risk factors, contraindications, and red flags, Injury prevention strategies and recovery techniques, Emergency procedures, CPR/First Aid protocols, Legal documentation: PAR-Q, waivers, and informed consent.

Module 6: Business, Marketing, and Career Development: Building a personal training business: branding and business models, Pricing structures, client retention, and referral systems, Marketing strategies: social media, online presence, and local outreach, Managing client data, appointments, and communication tools, Professional development and continuing education pathways, Certifications, specializations, and lifelong career advancement opportunities.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
