Objective: The Certified Photojournalist (Artistic) course aims to equip students with comprehensive skills in visual storytelling through photography, blending technical expertise with artistic creativity. The course focuses on developing a strong foundation in photojournalism principles, including ethical considerations, accurate reporting, and compelling composition. Students will learn to capture moments that not only inform but also evoke emotions and present narratives with artistic flair.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Photojournalism and Artistic Vision: History of Photojournalism, Role of a Photojournalist, Ethical Considerations in Photojournalism, Understanding Visual Storytelling, Elements of Artistic Photography, Developing a Personal Style.

Module 2: Camera Equipment and Technical Skills: Types of Cameras and Lenses, Camera Settings and Exposure, Focus Techniques, Lighting Basics and Natural Light Use, Composition Rules and Techniques, Advanced Camera Controls and Modes.

Module 3: Visual Storytelling and Narrative Techniques: Storyboarding and Planning Shoots, Capturing Emotion and Expression, Using Color and Black & White Effectively, Sequencing Images for Impact, Photo Essays and Series Creation, Integrating Text and Captions.

Module 4: Fieldwork and Ethical Reporting: Research and Pre-Shoot Preparation, Approaching Subjects Respectfully, Working in Different Environments, Managing Legal and Consent Issues, Handling Sensitive Situations, Maintaining Objectivity and Integrity.

Module 5: Post-Processing and Artistic Enhancement: Introduction to Photo Editing Software, Color Correction and Grading, Cropping and Composition Adjustments, Enhancing Mood and Atmosphere, Retouching vs. Authenticity, Preparing Images for Print and Digital Media.

Module 6: Publishing, Presentation, and Career Development: Building a Professional Portfolio, Creating Online Presence and Social Media Strategy, Working with Editors and Publications, Understanding Copyright and Usage Rights, Freelance and Employment Opportunities, Continuing Education and Networking.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
