Objective: The Certified Plyometrics Instructor course is designed to equip fitness professionals and coaches with the knowledge and skills to safely teach and implement plyometric training for improved power, speed, and athletic performance. The program covers the science of plyometrics, biomechanics, proper technique, progression models, injury prevention, and programming for various populations and sports.Β 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Plyometrics and Explosive Training: Definition and purpose of plyometric training, History and evolution of plyometric techniques in sports, Scientific principles behind plyometrics (stretch-shortening cycle), Benefits for athletic performance, power, and injury prevention, Common myths and misconceptions about plyometrics, Roles and responsibilities of a Certified Plyometrics Instructor.

Module 2: Biomechanics and Physiology of Plyometric Movements: Phases of plyometric actions: eccentric, amortization, concentric, Neuromuscular adaptations and motor unit recruitment, Role of tendons, muscles, and proprioceptors in explosive actions, Ground reaction force and joint alignment considerations, Muscle fiber types and response to plyometric load, Factors affecting explosiveness: strength, speed, coordination.

Module 3: Plyometric Exercise Techniques and Progressions: Lower-body plyometrics: squat jumps, bounding, depth jumps, Upper-body plyometrics: medicine ball throws, plyo push-ups, Core-based explosive movements for full-body power, Progression from basic to advanced plyometric drills, Surface, footwear, and space considerations for safety, Technique correction and injury prevention cues.

Module 4: Programming for Sport-Specific and General Populations: Designing plyometric programs for different sports (e.g., basketball, volleyball, soccer, track), Age-appropriate plyometrics for youth and seniors, Integrating plyometrics into strength and conditioning cycles, Repetition, volume, and rest intervals based on goals, Combining plyometrics with agility, speed, and resistance training, Adaptations for beginners, intermediates, and advanced athletes.

Module 5: Assessment, Safety, and Injury Prevention: Pre-assessment screening and mobility checks before plyometric training, Contraindications and modifications for at-risk individuals, Guidelines for progression and overload management, Identifying and correcting poor movement mechanics, Warm-up, cooldown, and recovery strategies for plyometric sessions, Monitoring fatigue and signs of overtraining.

Module 6: Coaching Methods, Ethics, and Professional Practice: Effective cueing, demonstration, and feedback techniques, Group management and session flow in high-intensity settings, Building trust and motivation in athletic populations, Ethical practice and client safety responsibilities, Business development: promoting plyometric programs and services, Continuing education and specialization opportunities in sports performance training.

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
