Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Printmaking Artist course aims to equip students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in various printmaking techniques, including relief, intaglio, lithography, screen printing, and digital printmaking. The course focuses on developing artistic creativity, technical proficiency, and a deep understanding of the history and theory of printmaking. Students will learn to create original prints, master the use of printmaking tools and materials, and explore experimental approaches to the medium.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Printmaking: History of printmaking, Types of printmaking processes, Materials and tools overview, Safety procedures in printmaking, Understanding printmaking terminology, Overview of printmaking styles.

Module 2: Relief Printmaking Techniques: Woodcut basics, Linocut carving methods, Preparing the block for printing, Inking and printing process, Multi-color relief printing, Troubleshooting common relief print issues.

Module 3: Intaglio Printmaking Techniques: Etching fundamentals, Drypoint technique, Engraving methods, Aquatint process, Preparing and cleaning plates, Printing intaglio prints.

Module 4: Planographic and Other Printmaking Methods: Lithography principles, Monotype and monoprint techniques, Screen printing basics, Collagraph printing, Transfer techniques, Combining planographic methods.

Module 5: Advanced Printmaking Concepts: Color theory in printmaking, Registration and layering techniques, Mixed media printmaking, Editioning and numbering prints, Conservation and archival methods, Digital printmaking integration.

Module 6: Professional Practice and Portfolio Development: Developing a printmaking portfolio, Art marketing and promotion, Gallery and exhibition preparation, Pricing and selling prints, Artist statements and documentation, Ethical and copyright considerations.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.

• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
