Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Railway Tourism and Industry Landscape: Definition, scope, and evolution of railway tourism, Importance of railways in promoting domestic and heritage tourism, Overview of Indian and international railway tourism initiatives (e.g., IRCTC, Palace on Wheels), Types of railway tourism: luxury trains, scenic routes, pilgrimage circuits, Role and responsibilities of a Railway Tourism Officer, Key stakeholders: rail authorities, tour operators, hospitality partners.

Module 2: Train Services, Categories, and Route Planning: Understanding classes of railway travel: general, sleeper, AC, chair car, luxury, Major tourism-oriented rail services and packages offered by IRCTC and others, Designing tour circuits based on religious, heritage, eco, and adventure themes, Mapping intermodal connectivity: rail-air-road transfers, Coordination with station management and travel desk services, Planning stopovers, onboard experiences, and sightseeing packages.

Module 3: Railway Booking Systems and Tour Coordination: Overview of railway reservation systems and IRCTC portal operations, Bulk booking and coordination for group tours and charters, Ticketing procedures, quotas, and travel documentation, Managing PNR, cancellations, refunds, and complaints, Coordinating with catering, accommodation, and local transport providers, Handling special needs: senior citizens, medical cases, international tourists.

Module 4: Customer Service, Onboard Hospitality, and Safety: Delivering exceptional customer service in railway tourism experiences, Onboard hospitality: food services, housekeeping, entertainment, Training staff in soft skills, cultural sensitivity, and emergency handling, Ensuring hygiene, safety, and comfort during the journey, Managing grievances and service recovery efficiently, Role of technology in enhancing customer experience (e.g., mobile apps, live tracking).
